Club Stuff

Overview
Brinscall and Withnell Amateur Swimming Club (WASC) has been going for about 60 years at the Brinscall Swimming Pool (located at Lodge Bank in Brinscall, Lancashire). It is reneowned for its friendly, safe, professional and very effective approach to teaching children to swim. It is run completely by volunteers and is funded by membership and door fees collected from club members, plus some sponsorship by local companies and individuals.

All the instructors are police cleared and have undertaken the relevant professional qualifications.

The club also organises gala, parties and other social events throughout the year.

Any help with coaching, door cash collection or administration is always well appreciated.

Membership
Membership must be renwed within 3 weeks of the renewal date to ensure that your child is insured.

New members can join as associate members (having not paid their annual membership) for a maximum of 2 weeks. New members can now only start n the first Monday of each month (exc. bank holidays), and all member details must be completed prior to the start date.

Holidays
The club is shut for all bank holidays.
Summer : The club will also be shut for the whole August period; the last session will be Friday 28th July 2006 and will restart on Monday 4th September.
Winter : The club will run its last session on Friday 15th December 2006 and will reopen on Monday 8th January 2007.

The next commitee meeting with be 13th March 2006 at 19:00. The venue will be the Hoghton Arms in Withnell (next to the M65 junction). All welcome.
