In far from cold weather the 2010 "Tony Bolton Thirsty Three" Multi terrain race saw a disappointing turnout for the event. First home was Alex McVey of Horwich who finished in a respectable time of 18 mins 29 secs for the 3 mile plus multi terrain race. Super vet Steve Williams Vet 55 of Northern Vets produced an excellent run to finish second just 28 secs behind. Third placed Paul Boardman, Horwich, had to battle all the way against the fast finishing Chorley AC junior Fergus Tallon who in turn battled hard to finish ahead of Heapey based Burnden Road Runner Pete Hopley. Female vet 45 Dawn Richards of Clayton Le Moors proved too strong for second place and fast improving Chorley AC female Marie Kinloch finishing 12 seconds ahead in 24:46. Third place went to fellow Clayton Harrier Lorna Palmer. Chorley Athletic Club swept the team honours finishing in first and second place with Fergus Tallon, Paul Wareing and Simon Townsend bagging first team closely followed by team mates Marie Kinloch, Phil McCullough and Leo Stones.

In the 1 mile "Gallop" first place went to Bethany Blackwell F12, Preston Harriers, clocked 5:39 to finish ahead of first male Isaac Simmonite of Abbey Village School. Katie Hebblethwaite,Chorley Harriers finished first under 10.

The organiser Heapey and Wheelton Village Hall would like to thank Tony Bolton Sports for his sponsorship of the event and to all helpers, marshals and officials for their support.
