The hot weather tempted six Chorley AC runners (and over 230 others) to attempt the annual Rivington Pike Fell Race. First back for the club was Paul Bass(23:00) who got a good start and was never bettered by his colleagues. Next back was David Taylor(23:58) just pipping Simon Townsend(24:01) and Rick Cordwell(24:11). Michael Murray snr completed his second race in as many days in a time of 29:10. Performance of the day was from Vet60 Barry Chester who completed his 20th Fell Race in a time of 29:53 despite suffering with a cold. In the team events the Senior Mens and Vet Mens team achieved 12th position in both.
