4 Chorley Athletic Club athletes braved the weather to compete in the 2nd meeting of the Northern Track and Field League at Macclesfield.
Despite un seasonally cold, wet,windy conditions the athletes found their times were not far off their season's bests and 2 members of the squad recorded personal bests.
Under17 Luke Betts in the 400m with a time of 58.7s and Dave Taylor in the 800m with 2.37.5 and again in the 5000m in a time of 19.41.3.

Results
Chorley Athletic Club's track and field athletes travelled to Bebington,
Wirral for the first Northern men and womens league match and came away
with tremendous results.
Eloise Manger had four personal bests in the hammer,shot,discus and
javelin. In winning the javelin she achieved her best ever throw of 45m 46
giving her the qualifying standard for the UK Nationals later this year
and a new club record.
Kelly Hilton took victory in the triple jump wth 11m 80 as she prepares
for the county championships.
Making his debut in the league was U17 Luke Betts with personal bests in
the 800m and 400m,Ben Knight also had two personal bests in the 100m and
400m. Michael Hough had a seasons best in the 100m as did Graeme Ballard
in the 100m and 200m. John Wright competed in the shot but in his 200m
race pulled up with 90 metres to go through injury.
