Eloise Manger, Chorley Athletic Club's senior lady javelin thrower will be taking part in the U K Athletics inaugural Super 8 competition be held in Cardiff on Wednesday evening, 10th June.
Eloise was chosen to represent Manchester in the forthcoming event which will bring together cities such as London North, London South, Cardiff, Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow.
The cities will go head to head in ten athletics events across two hours of fast paced action for male and female athletes.
Eloise recently retained her Lancashire Championship title at Blackpool and will go into the competition with a new personal best throw of 45.46 metres which currently places her in seventh position in the U K rankings. Club Chairman John Payn and club coach Alan Morris both are delighted by this selection. Alan said " Eloise spends many hours training with the club and also travelling to specialist training throughout the country. She is an outstanding talent and all at the club wish her well in this ground breaking athletics competition. "
