International Meeting featured on BBC1- Saturday 27 January 2007

Two of Chorley's International star athletes featured on this week's Grandstand at the International meet at the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow.

Accompanied by their highly respected coach Frank Crook (Chorley AC), Chorley Athletic Club star paralompians Michael Churm and Graham Ballard featured in the qualifying race for selection to the Beijing Olympic GB team.

Unfazed by the start opposition in the indoor 60m event, Graham turned in a personal best of 8.02 seconds finishing 3rd overall. Not to be outdone, clubmate Michael finished second with an outstanding performance.

Both athletes wait now to see if this weekend's events have propelled them to that invitation to join the GB team in China for the 2008 Olympics.
