Saturday 18th April 2010 at Wigan

The first 2010 Mid-Lancs. track & Field meeting was held at Robin Park, Wigan and saw Chorley AC athletes open their seasons account with 2 wins, 2 seconds & 5 thirds.
John Wright(12.5/24.3) and Rick Cordwell(13.4/26.9) charged thro' the 100/200 meters after which Rick still had the puff for the 400(60.5).
In the U17s Ryan Sciacca was 3rd in both the 400(56.0) and 800(2:09) chased by Ben Ramsey in the latter 11th(2:19). Luke Betts won the 1500(4:18) with Adam Sciacca 6th(4:34).
In the U15s Fergus Tallon tackled the 800(2:21) coming 2nd with U13 Jack Cowell finishing 5th(16.9) in the 100m. In the ladies Jade Brown was 3rd in both the 100/200(14.8/31.3) and Jodie Farnworth continued her last year form by winning the high jump(1.56). Francesca Jackson contributed valuable points with 15th place in a large long jump field(3.56).
Saturday 22nd May 2010 at Hyndburn

Despite the Mid-Lancs Track & Field meeting at Hyndburn coming the day after the Park Series race Chorley AC's youngsters seemed to suffer no ill effects and in general had a very good meet with Luke Betts 2nd(53.6) and Ryan Sciacca 3rd(55.9) in the 400m with two great times and not to be outdone Rick Cordwell 7th(58.1) a new PB.
Ryan(4th) was also pleased with his 800m time of 2:06 with Fergus Tallon 5th(2:20) and Ben Ramsay 12th(2:17). Adam Sciacca was 4th(4:34) in the 1500m with a strong finish and new PB.
The 100m was well competed with Michael Hough 6th(12.1), Devon Berry 12th(15.1), Jack Cowell 14th(16.2) in only his second race and Antonia Jackson 23rd(16.3) in her first race. Rick Cordwell set a new PB(25.1) being 6th in the 200m and was 7th(4.22) in the long jump where he says it all went wrong. The ladies kept mostly to the field events and produced excellent performances in large fields with Jodie Farnworth winning the high jump(1.61) and second(4.55) in the long jump where Devon Berry was 9th(3.77) and also 3rd(1.3) in the high jump.
Francesca and Antonia Jackson respectively took on shot putt 7th(6.53) and javelin 9th(10.04).
Saturday 26th June 2010 at Litherland
Provisional Results
A scorching hot afternoon in Litherland was the venue for the 3rd Midlancs Track and Field competition.
Opening proceedings was an impressive 1st and 3rd for Chorley AC athletes in the U17 800m by Luke Betts and Ryan Sciacca respectively. Ryan went on to win the 400m in a PB time of 55.20, whilst brother Adam and Joe Ellison took first and second in the U17 1500m. Youngster Fergus Tallon took a well earned 5th in the 800m in a time of 2:18.30.
For the girls, U17 Jodie Farnworth easily won the high jump with a new PB 1.64m. Jade Brown took 5th in the 100m, and Anya Townsend took a 3rd and 5th (but max division points) in the U15s Javelin and Discus.
Saturday 24th July 2010 at Hyndburn
Provisional Results
Hynburn hosted the fourth MidLancs track and field event. National V50 sprinter John Wright scored near maximum points for the 100m and 200m in times of 11.7 and 24.8 respective.
Junior Dale Nuttall, emulated John's sprinting efforts in the same events with excellent times of 12.5 and 25.3 seconds.
U17 Luke Betts and Adam Sciacca chose the 1500m and took 2nd and 5th in near PB times, and took maximum divisional points.
U15 Fergus Tallon took 5th in a fast 800m.
The ladies also took near maximum points with U17 Jodie Farnworth winning outright the high jump,
U15 Anya Townsend took overall 4th (but max divisional points) with her javelin and Jade Brown sprinted
to 4th place in the 100m.
Saturday 7th August 2010 at Lancaster
Provisional Results
World veteran Gold medallist John Wright was 4th in the 100m and Bolu Olufa 5th in the 200m before aining 6th in the 400m.
Luke Betts and Adam Sciacca had a brilliant 1st and 2nd in the 3000m with Luke then going 3rd in the 400m and 2nd in the 800m and Adam 3rd in the triple jump.
Brother Ryan Sciacca was 4th in the 400m with Ben Ramsay 6th and 8th in the 800m, Lee Blundell was 3rd in the discus and 1st in the javelin, Fergus Tallon 3rd in the 200m and 6th in the 800m. In the ladies Jodie Farnworth won the high jump.
