The Lancashire Cross Country Championship was held in Blackburn, and Chorley supplied over 20 runners.
The U11 boys took 4th team, with Scott Gouldthorpe coming first home in 14th. Not far behind was Luke Hunter(17), Ben Hughes(18) and Ethan Joyce(23). Emily Hunter (18) led home the Chorley U11 girls, followed by Eleanor Lucas(32).
U15 Fergus Tallon ran well for 11th place in his race, and the Sciacca brothers Ryan and Adam took 15th and 23rd place respectively in the U17s event.
Less than 120 men ran the junior/senior race, and 10% were Chorley runners.
Luke Betts was 6th Junior but earned his place in the Lancashire Squad.
Next back were V45s Paul Wareing(85), Simon Townsend(97), Paul Jackson(98), followed closely by Henry Minorczyk(105) who took home a medal for 3rd V60.
Despite being ill, John Minton(116) took third V70, and Tom Hilton(117) and Mike Coppin(119) took 2nd and 3rd V65 medals. Barry Chester(108), Marco Sciacca(110), Phil McCullagh(114) and Adrian Smith(118) had good runs but missed out on podium positions.
