Race distances tend to be 4 to 5 miles. Club kit must be worn. There is no pre-race registration but at the end of the race you will be given a card with your race position on it which you need to complete and place in the CAC box (or Guest box if you've not yet joined). Wednesday 7th April 2010 - Stanley Park, Blackpool (19:00)

The first 2010 Inter-Club race began at Blackpool's Stanley Park over 4 miles, with Chorley AC's youngsters coming to the fore - Luke Betts being 12th, Adam Sciacca 27th, Ryan Sciacca 39th and Ben Ramsay 92nd. Paul Wareing(60th), David Taylor(70th) & Dave Kershaw(79th) had their usual tussle trailed by Simon Townsend(85th) in an amazing run with a hamstring strain. Henry Minorczyk(114th) was chased home by Marco Sciacca(117th) and Jonathan Betts(123rd). Ted Orrell(135th) won the vet70 match against John Swift(146th) and Phil McCullagh's(150th) mileage is turning profitable as took both Barry Chester(157th) and Steven Wilde(158th). First timer Kirsty Tallon ran brilliantly for 174th place ahead of returning Michael Murray Snr(179th) and Christine Sweatman(185th). It was wonderful to have two life members Peter Gilkes(200th) and Glynn Platt(201st) making a rare and welcome appearance. Jeanette Murray(207th) lead in the senior runners consisting of Adrian Smith(214th), Mike Coppin(221st), Steven Cole(225th) and Paul Cunliffe(227th). Because of the juniors efforts Chorley registered 5th place behind winners Preston with the Vet60s doing better in 2nd place. Individually Ted Orrell and John Swift were 1st & 2nd Vet70s with Henry Minorczyk 2nd Vet60. Luke Betts, Adam & Ryan Sciacca were all in the first 5 junior men places. Over Easter, Chorley AC athletes ran in various races.

With most of our juniors sensibly choosing to concentrate on their school exams the second Inter-Club race at Lytham was a little bereft at the front end of Chorley AC athletes and we consequently had a bad day being 6th overall, in the vets, ladies & vet50s and even the normally reliable vet60s could do no better than 5th. The exception was youngster Adam Sciacca running his furthest distance ever had a brilliant race being 26th(29:44). Paul Wareing 55th(31:48) also had a good race with a flat out finish inevitably chased by Dave Taylor 63rd(32:30) and Ian Walker 91st(34:50). Henry Minorczyk 103rd(35:45) was next over the line leading Marco Sciacca 109th(35:58) and Jonathan Betts 122nd(36:24). Phil McCullagh 151st(38:59) spearheaded Steven Wilde 158th(39:36) and Jeanette Murray 167th(41:07) who trounced her dad Michael Murray 178th(42:59) convincingly. Son Stuart Swann 183rd(43:40) escaped from Jan Mayor 190th(45:26) whom it was good to see running again. Adrian Smith 198th(48:24) just remained ahead in a fierce battle of the vet60s with Les Paul 200th(49:08) just taking Mike Coppin 201st(49:22) ahead of returning Tom Hilton 203rd(50:17) and Paul Cunliffe 204th(50:36). Individual best positions were Adam Sciacca as 3rd junior, Henry as 4th vet60 and Jan Mayor as 5th vet55. Wednesday 9th June 2010 - Penwortham (19:30)

Final Results
The 3rd Inter-Club event took place in Preston, and, with Chorley AC youngsters resting for the County schools events we did not fare any better than 6th in all categories save the vet60s where we were 5th. Paul Wareing was first home in 50th(31:08), Simon Townsend 68th(32:25) and Ian Walker 82nd(33:19). Marco Sciacca 105th(34:51) was next outpacing Jonathan Betts 110th(35:08) and Henry Minorczyk 117th(35:40). Phil McCullagh's frequent racing strategy gave him the strength to be 148th(38:19) ahead of John Swift 162nd(40:01) who is doing big mileage for his 70 mile venture on Sat.19th June. Jeanette Murray 170th(40:28) beat Tim Croston 177th(41:26) and dad Michael Murray 196th(44:17). It was nice to have Glynn Platt 200th(45:47) back on the roads again heading a very competitive tail section of Les Paul 204th(46:56), Mike Coppin 206th(48:00), Tom Hilton 209th(48:35), Paul Cunliffe 210th(50:13) and Steven Cole 214th(53:33). Best individual category positions were John Swift 3rd Vet70, Mike Coppin 6th Vet65 and Henry Minorczyk 7th vet60.
Monday 19th July 2010 - Salwick (19:30)

The very wet lanes around the BNFL Salwick plant was laid siege by over 210 runners competing in the 4th Interclub 4.5 mile road race. First in for Chorley AC were the youngsters Luke Betts and Adam Sciacca placed an excellent 11 and 25. The next group back were the veterans of David Taylor, Paul Wareing, Simon Townsend and Ian Walker placed 45,49,70 and 74 all within a couple of minutes of each other. Vet 60 Henry Minorczyk had a great run finishing about half way through the field, followed closely by Jonathan Betts, Marco Sciacca, Stephen Wilde and Phil McCullagh. First and only lady back for the club was Jeantte Murray just beaten by her dad Michael. Completing the 19 strong team were some good runs from Les Paul, Paul Cunliffe, Tom Hilton, Mike Coppin and Stephen Cole.
