Interclub races are simple ... just turn up at the start and run.

Race distances tend to be 4 to 5 miles. Club kit must be worn. There is no pre-race registration but at the end of the race you will be given a card with your race position on it which you need to complete and place in the CAC box (or Guest box if you've not yet joined). The middle order contingent was lead by Jim Cosgrove in 104th(27:39) from Henry Minorczyk 107th(27:46) and Jonathan Betts 127th(29:08). Jeanette Murray pulled out another excellent run in 133rd(29:34) ahead of John Swift 137th(29:34), father Michael Murray 139th(30:04) and boyfriend Steven Cole 145th(30:09) who ran well in his first race. Despite the excellent turn out Chorley AC could only manage 5th overall to a strong Preston team, being 6th in the vets, vet 50's and the ladies, but the vet 60's gave some compensation by being 2nd. The best individual performance was Henry Minorczyk's 3rd vet 60 position.

The Inter-Club prize presentation for 2008 yielded two prizes for Chorley AC with Charlotte Murray being 1st junior and Stephen Fletcher 2nd vet 55.

The Inter-Club race at Lytham around Fairhaven Lake was run in a bit of a gale with the athletes being continuously lashed by blasts of flying sand where Paul Bass 57th paid for his previous evenings exertions by being pipped by Paul Wareing 58th in the same time of 32:22. They were followed by the pack of Simon Townsend 74th[33:26], Rick Cordwell 82nd[34:03] and David Taylor 85th[34:10]. Next two amazingly good runs from Henry Minorczyk 111th[36:16] as 5th vet 60 and young Michael Murray 128th[37:10] as 3rd junior off virtually no training. Jonathan Betts 135th[37:35], Michael Murray Snr 128th[37:48] and Marco Sciacca 150th[38:17] took up the middle ground followed by Tom Booth 156th[39:12] as 4th junior just getting his nose in front of Jeanette Murray 157th[39:23]. Monday 20th July 2009 - Salwick (19:30)

Draft Results

Despite having a good number of runners Chorley AC could not take many scalps in the Lancashire Inter Club race at Wesham coming 6th with only the vet 50s counting 5th and the vet 60s placing 4th. Henry Minorczyk 101st(30:53) started quietly before passing several home athletes including Michael Murray 106th(31:05) who is having a good spell and managed to stay ahead of son Michael 137th(34:00) trailed by Marco Sciacca 143rd(34:27), Steven Wilde 148th(35:03) and Michelle Devine 153rd(36:04) who ran the first half quickly.
