Results

If charity runners deserved praise for tackling a 3 mile course in such appalling weather conditions then Sunday 19 September was it! The heavens opened before , during and after the event organised on behalf of the Mayor's Charities. Only non athletic club teams can enter either by representing their charity, organisation, works etc. 8 teams completed the course with "Beauty and the Beasts" winning the first team title.

First home was Chorley AC's Paul Wareing running for 'Wareings Wanderers' finishing in 18 mins 22 secs (a new course record!), with Emma Perrin of "One Step Beyond" securing the ladies title in 19 mins 50 secs. First Business team was Chorley Community Housing. Withnell Pharmacy's team have already raised £200 and completed the course in 58 mins. All monies raised should be sent in to Chorley AC, c/o 58 Millbrook Close,Wheelton, PR6 8JY by 15 October.

Chorley Athletic Club would like to thank all runners, walkers and sponsors for their support for this Charity event. In particular they would like to thank Lancashire Constabulary especially Sgt Azz Khan and his team of PCSO's, Lee Boyer and the Chorley Sports Development Team, Andrew Daniels of Chorley Borough Council and all marshals and officials who helped on the day. Next years Charity Challenge is pencilled in for Sunday 18 September.
