This series of meetings are held at the purpose built stadium located in Robin Park Arena, Wigan. Competitors (year 2,3,4,5,6) are given the opportunity to try and compete in events such as 75m, 150m, 600m, long jump, high jump, shot, javellin and relay.

Club Chairman, John Payn was delighted with the results from the Primary League for Y6. He said "We have dedicated young athletes out competing against the cream of top clubs. Our young athletes did extremely well and have shown they are a match for anyone. We are very proud of them."

In the Y5/6 Girls Javelin Ruth Whipp produced an excellent performance to come second in 12.69 metres, and then competed in the High Jump were she measured a very creditable 1.09 metres.

All rounder Megan Tuson threw 9.94 metres in the javelin and ran an excellent 600 metres to clock 2:28.7.

In the boys Y2 completion Ben Hughes produced three very good performances with his long jump measuring 2.79 metres (4th place) and then 27.52 secs for 150 metres. He managed to clock a points winning 5.81 metres for the cricket ball."

Match #4 Medal Meeting 17/7/2009
Chorley only had four juniors at the Primary League medal meeting at Robin Park, Wigan but they all acquitted themselves particularly well with Ben Hughes being 1st in both the 75 & 150 yds sprints and second in the long jump(which he would have won if not a foot behind the board !). Ruth Whipp was 2nd in both the shot and high jump, Olivia Christopher 2nd in the high jump & 4th in the 175yd sprint, and Rebecca McDonell 1st in the shot and 2nd in the javelin. Coaches John Payn and Alan Morris were very pleased with their athletes efforts.

All Events for both age groups.
To qualify for the Medal Meeting an athlete must have competed in at least one of the league fixtures.
