Chorley AC club chairman, John Payn took part in the Allen Trophy race held on Saturday 3 June, held over 15 miles. The race walking event was organised by The Lancashire Walking clubs over the Heapey and White Coppice circuit, a tough and rugged course.

John took 4th place in the open race in 2hrs 49 mins, and 2nd in the handicap race beating a fellow competitor by just 1 sec!"
